Gallery in IPB

I have had several PM's recently regarding where the gallery for the new IPB is, so I've decided to just notify everyone based on a collaboration of PM's I have written on this issue:

Our gallery is a subscription that only lasts for about 2 years. Due to the current upgrade the old gallery is no longer compatible (I am not sure if we are able to recover the images). In fact, sometime during the previous version of IPB, our gallery had already expired which led to reduced controls, but the gallery was still present because the software had been installed already.

The newer version of IPB has a complete set of recoding and so to use the gallery again, we would need to purchase another 2 year subscription and then install the new software.

I understand that it will be easier for many to browse through the gallery instead of sorting through threads but there is a large amount of time, effort and cost involved. Kevin will be most familiar with this, and I'm sure he will outline how repetitive and time consuming the upload process is. I think we would have to also take into account that the gallery is a 1yr subscription ($65 for the first time, $30 for subsequent renewals was the case for the last gallery, I'm not sure if the complete recoding of the gallery will mean we have to purchase the new version). Considering, we just went through a major upgrade: hosting and domain renewal, my reasoning is to wait a while before we proceed with purchasing/renewing the gallery. However , this is very much a decision for everyone on the forum, so feel free to post your thoughts. =)

First I want to thank you Eza for opening this topic.

Because you've posted the details about the Gallery, it is indeed clear now.

And I understand the situation....I'm just curious about this....
