One of the reason could be hostess Zhang Dandan wasn't exactly happy how the interview turn out - and the veteran hostess feel herself outmaneuver by Yifei.

From historical knowledge of the show, "Story From Behind" is generally smooth sailing since the persons being interview usually cooperate (if the questioning doesn't step out of line too much).

But the show always has a "wild-card" factor as a producer revealed a few years back because the questions are not rehearsed and the host might decided to push the limits depending on situation and one never knew how the guest would react.
There was a tense session a few years back involving Fan Bingbing in which the broadcast version of the interview has to edited to remove the scenes.

By some accounts, Yifei's interview has a bunch of surprises to all involved (but not necessary in a bad way). Some of the highlights:

Yifei was surprised when they arranged a live video conference of HXM to the show for some Q&A.
Everyone was surprised when a male fan went on stage imprompu and declared his love for Yifei pleading her to "hug him for encouragement". Yifei shook his hand but did not hug her and told that her heart was already been taken by another - hence the headlines on hundreds of gossip news and columns these few days.


PS: A secret of this show revealed...
According to some fans who went to the live event - the fan who declare his love is a secret arrangement by the show and some Yifei fans to test Yifei's reaction. Apparently Yifei fell for the ploy completely (IMG:style_emoticons/light_skin/shok.gif)
